The comparison
Agentforce vs. Alternatives
Where it wins, where it does not, and when we would tell you to buy something else.
We build on Agentforce, and that is a bias worth stating plainly. Here is where we think it genuinely wins, and where a different tool is the better answer — a call we have made for clients more than once.
We would rather lose a deal than deliver a project we knew would fail.
Where Agentforce wins
Your customer data, permissions, and business logic already live in Salesforce. The agent inherits the object model, the sharing rules, and the workflow engine on day one. Nobody has to rebuild your permission model in a second system, and nothing has to be synced.
Where a general agent framework wins
If your workflow is mostly outside CRM — engineering, internal ops, document processing — a framework like LangGraph gives you finer control and no platform licence. It also gives you no Trust Layer, no audit trail, and no permission model. You will build all three.
Where a point solution wins
Single-purpose vendors in a narrow domain — a specialised claims or IT-service agent — will beat a general platform on day one. They will lose on the second use case, when you discover you now have two customer records.
When we would tell you not to buy
If your knowledge base is a mess and you are not willing to fix it. If your volume is too low to pay for the licence. If you want autonomy but not governance. In all three cases you will spend money and get a demo.
